 Welcome to this new academic year 2026/2027

 

1st  - Remember the material that we need for Art lesson.

2nd - We must finish the drawing about your comic from last year.

3rd Then, our first work is going to create your portrait. Your face will have two parts. One real and the other one imaginary-featuring the things you like for example basketball, painting, swimming, playing football, dancing......

So you shoud keep in mind :

 

 

 

IustrarNós

 Once again this year we have participated in the competition IlustrarNós from A deputación (Lugo).

This year`s event was a tribute to the figure of Siro López, painter, cartoonist, caricaturist.

Thank you for all your work and participation. We had a great level of work, congratulations to everyone!

Drawing comics

 

As you are great readers, you probably know comics from Francisco Ibañez (Mortadelo and Filemón), René  Goscinny ( Astérix and Obélix), Miguelanxo Prado (La mansión de los Pampín)....

So you have a comic in the Galician book on page 200-201 as an example for reading.

In order to draw a comic you need:

1st- To think about a story because you have to create dialogues

2nd - To  think about characters

3rd - To divide the white paper  A4/A3 in squares or rectangles

4th - Remember to use onomatopeia

5th -  Remember to use speech bubbles for the dialogue.

6th - Colour your drawings

23rd February Rosalia's day

 

 Today 23rd February we celebrate Rosalía de Castro's day, so we can learn more about this Galician artist and   create our drawings, then to share them in the exhibition school.

PABLO PICASSO

Take your Galician book   and read pages from   about the great and spanish artist called Picasso.

Tasks to do:

1st. : A drawing about the circus world of Picasso' s pink stage, you can look for inspiration in his paintings. Remember the colour pink   should be present in the background of your drawing

2nd. You can create your craft or sculpture   with cardboard as cubist style like Picasso.

ANDY WARHOL

ANDY WARHOL, (Pittsburgh, 6 August 1928-New York, 22 February 1987) was an American visual artist and actor who played a crucial role in the birth and development of pop art. After a successful career as a professional illustrator, Warhol gained worldwide fame for his work in painting, avant-garde film and literature, a notoriety that was supported by a skillful relationship with the media and his role as a guru of modernity. Warhol acted as a liaison between artists and intellectuals, but also between aristocrats, homosexuals, Hollywood celebrities, models, bohemians and colourful urban characters.

Warhol used a variety of media to create his works, including hand drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, screen printing, sculpture, film and music.

Task : What are you going to create?

Think about an object,  an animal or famous people, you can draw it two or four times, the drawing is going to be the same but you have to change the background, it will be  in a different colour.

Christmas 2025

Let's celebrate Christmas. How? 

First by decorating our classroom (with elements from Galicia like mistletoe or the character " Apalpador"), and secondly making our own Christmas card.
